I am SO excited to officially announce that I will be a contributing blogger on the 2014-2015 design team for one of my all time favorite crafting companies, Silhouette!
Anyone that knows me, knows that "the machine" (The Silhouette Cameo) is an extension of myself. I praise that little guy's abilities, and all this company offers. Obsessed? Just a bit. I admit I get dorky amounts of excited for all craft-talk, so bear with me. Silhouette is definitely at the top of the list for me, so I couldn't be more honored for this opportunity!
Along with the rest of this talented team, I'll be posting project photos and tutorials on the Silhouette blog, along with sharing them here on my own page. I'm looking forward to sharing my creative passion, and being part of a team that truly gets it!
Congratulations to the rest of these ladies, and Happy Crafting!! I can't wait to get started!

A Night in Old Havana Gala | BSaz Creates
This #TBT: Craft Edition is from when I was asked to design a travel-themed invitation set for The Catherine Cook School 16th Annual Gala, "A Night in Old Havana." The event was held early last month at Union Station in Chicago. From luggage tag raffle tickets, to ticket-shaped invitations, to the "Passport" styled programs... my main objective was to give the feel of vintage travel, while still finding the color and esthetic of Old Havana night life. I am in love with how these turned out! A big thanks to Hi-Def Chicago for doing such a great job printing these.

Hello to all you lovely people, and welcome! Can you believe I am FINALLY taking the blog plunge? Me neither. Let's do this.
For those of you wanting to follow along, I am officially embarking on a creative & personal lifestyle blog. In my daily life I am always designing new projects, having craft dates, and emerging myself into the arts one way or another, so this will be my little space in the blogosphere to share it all.
Comfy clothes & craft dates (direct way to my heart) have indeed been a weekly occurrence for... all of my existence. I'll be capturing and sharing a variety of creative happenings...from flea market finds, to my never ending obsession with alllll things craft & design related. Creativity is my jam.
While I am sure plenty of fancy faces will make appearances on here, let me introduce you to the two main characters in my life; My girlfriend, Sophie and pint-sized pup, Brody. Neither are crafty by nature, but support my craze and will be mentioned quite often. So let's say hi to them while we're at it! (Hiiii, Sophie…Hiii, Brody.)
Whether it's crafting alone or making things with friends, there is NOTHING more satisfying than coming home, throwing on sweats (or in the case of this winter, my Onezie-MVP, the Pook) and curating a tornado of projects and supplies sprawled throughout my apartment. Call me the president of the stay-at-home club... Call me a grandma. I don't care. If that doesn't sound like a perfect Friday night, I don't know what does. Wild, I know.
Soo... if crafts aint-yo-thang. Now's the time to boot scoot & boogie on outta here…exit stage left. I won't judge. (yesss, yes I will. but go. it's okayyyy) For those of you creative cuties willing to stick around, here. we. go. The beginning of the unknown. How terrifyingly thrilling. Though I can't foresee the future, what I do know is that making things makes me happy- so, let's see where this leads! :)
Here's to today being awesome for so many people in my life, myself included! I got some super exciting craft-in-your-pants kind of news (that I'll be able to share soon) and continued to get equally exciting texts from a number of people that had gotten their own dose of good news. The stars are definitely aligned today....so cheers. to. that!
Rewind a couple years to when I tried a "make some every day" 365 blog...which ended up being maybe 65 posts total in the end. womp womp. Hip surgery came & went, and I found myself too far behind to make up for lost time. So, although it was a failed attempt in that regard, some pretty awesome makings still happened in the process. Like these panda cookies. I still love the ones that turned out with a little smirk! I'm still shocked that they worked the way they did! Below is pulled from the original post, with some additional process pictures incase anyone wants to give it a go!
Wow! Can I just say how excited I am with how these turned out. Since Sophie’s favorite animal is a Panda, I have had this panda bread inspiration saved on my computer for awhile now, so I was excited to make it my own. I can genuinely say I had NO plan, or idea of what I was doing going in to this; All I knew was that it had to look like a panda.
I am not much of a baker, or a cooker of any sorts, so the whole process was a little make-shift. For starters, I knew me attempting first time bread making AND panda art in one, there was more chance for disaster, so I adapted it into my own homemade panda sugar cookie dough instead!
With some determination, and a little bit of food coloring magic, my bag of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix turned into these little guys!
Alright, lady keeper of the elements...get a life. It's officially almost the END OF MARCH, and Chicago is still waking up to snow. SNOW! Whyyyyyyy. (insert distressed emoji face here)
So, although Mother Nature hasn't got her act together, I'm determined to make it feel like spring (indoors) one way or another! Call me crazy, but poop-stained snow and lack-luster trees ain't cutting it in the inspiring department. Sista needs some SUN! and COLOR! It is no wonder why these colors alone are like a breath of fresh air…and make my smiler smilier.
These cards were part of a past stationery set I did for a maternity shop here in the city, that were actually my first handmade cards to be sold in a retail store. That was an exciting day indeed, even though I'm pretty sure my Mom and Grandma were the ones to buy them out. Ha!
I figure with the lack of budding flowers outdoors, and the growing number of baby bellies in bloom (coincidentally that's what being stuck inside well into spring will do to a couple) it was a perfect time to bring them back for all these mamma-to-be's.
