Silhouette Feature | Garage Sale Chair Makeover
It's no secret that thrifting is my jam! Like the saying, One manβs trash is someone elseβs treasure, I have found so many gems at garage sales & flea markets alike. Sometimes it just takes looking past the "junky" exterior of things and seeing the hidden potential flooding these places.
Today on the Silhouette Blog, I am sharing a quick a easy up-cycle I did to a folding chair I got recently at a garage sale for $5. Yes, FIVE DOLLARS. Thanks to Silhouette Americaβs Stencil Material, making over thrifted finds has never been easier!
You can see the full Before & After transformation here.
Happy Thrifting!

#TBT: MJR Nursery Decor
Throwin' it back almost 3 years to little miss Matilda's Nursery Decor & Wall Art. This was my first time ever doing a nursery, and I can still remember Matilda's soon-to-be Mamma, Hannah, crying when she saw it all come to life. There's something so gratifying about leaving your touch somewhere that has such love & meaning surrounding it. It's that genuine feeling of gratitude that keeps me doing what I do.
Inspired by Pottery Barn Kid's Haley Nursery Bedding I had so much fun creating both the butterfly mobile & layered initial wall art. Again, I rarely ever use glass in nursery wall art (especially if hanging near the crib), so these "floating" framed flat canvases I dreamt up came together perfectly. Cheaper and safer than custom framing/matting... score!

Pickin season
I have been dreaming of warm weather, flea markets & pickin' weekends. To kick off this past holiday weekend, we took our annual trip up to American Picker's very own, Hippie Tom. Serendipity Farms is one of those places that you can't fully explain no matter how hard you try because it's something that has to be experienced. Though we venture to a variety of thrifting/picking opportunities, Hippie Toms is still the highlight of our year. I mean...Common! How could you not love this guy!
I have to thank my Aunt Lorraine (and picking partner in crime) for finding this gem now years ago! We now make the trek up north for all his sales!
This year was filled with an extra little suprise when we pulled up to this years sale to find this...
Yep. Us 3 mini humans ended our adventures at Serendipity Farms with none other than, a mini helicopter ride. Unbeknownst bucket list item? Check!
I sometimes worry I'll end up on Hoarders. If I do, I hope to have acres of land like Serendipity Farms to keep it all! Hippie Tom- I love you, Man!
Silhouette Feature | Gift Card Holder Tag & Wrap
Today my second design team post for the Silhouette America Blog got featured...and this may be one of my favorites yet! Yes, I know this is only my second one... but seriously. Well-styled gift wrapping for me has always been something I spend an absurd amount of time on considering we all know what inevitably happens to all wrapped presents. Still, present presentation trumps practical purpose for me. Every time. I'll admit, a lot of the time I care more about how awesomely I've wrapped a gift than the dang gift itself. Pathetic, I know.
My soul-saving tip? Close your eyes. No one wants to watch their hard work torn apart in a matter of toddler-time. Those grimy little paws are fast and destructive (yet seemingly still deserving of a perfectly crafted package.) When will I learn?
Altering the offered "Thank You Tag" Free Shape of the Week from the Silhouette online store, I turned a normally flat gift tag into a pocketed gift card holder! For that added touch, I sewed the butterfly shape into a mini gift-wrap garland. For the full post, visit the Silhouette blog!
