Doodles all day, erryday. With this current holiday weekend, I've had some extra time off from Nannyland and have filled 98% of that time with doodles, sketches, and handlettering galore! I mean...3AM and still going strong style. Because...I'm a crazy person. Therapy is therapy, right?
I have always loved art journaling- doodling any quote or lyric I could possibly think of on any media type around. It's completely my Zen.
Funny, I remember when I was 16 and working Customer Service at Target that I had my big "ah-ha" moment as I was handlettering all of the return bin labels. (Clearly my survival mechanism.) Ha! Unfortunately for Target, this meant one less kick-ass team member, but the local scrapbook store gained one perfectly passionate employee. It was then I knew that if I didn't center my life around my creativity, I would surely be miserable. 12 years later, and that couldn't possibly still ring more true to my core. (Pat on the back for ya, little B!)

#TBT: Kelsey & Andrew's Wedding
This past week, one of my dearest friends (and pickin' partner in crime), Kelsey married her main-man of over 10 years, Andrew. Not only were Sophie and I lucky enough to be there to celebrate, but I've gotten to be part of the behind-the-scenes process for over the past year. Craft-dates, galore! From their Save-the-dates & Invitations, to programs and CD labels, I couldn't be happier these cuties trusted me to add my touch to their big day!
So, in honor of their first week of marriage, I thought it would be most appropriate to share little bits and pieces from their wedding as this weeks #TBT. Things I've learned: Photo booths should ALWAYS come equipped with authentic vintage cars, people go wild when McDonalds appears in the middle of the dance floor, and grass allergies do not pair well with outdoor weddings. Extra props to Mamma Altmann for pulling through with the MVP of my life...Kleenex. Better luck next time, Allegra.
