It's crazy to think I'm 2 years post-op for the ol' hip and am about to finally embark on rehearsing for another CVDT showcase. Holy hell am I scared, but undeniably elated.
I forget that with the timing of my hip surgery, (which I'll save you the gorey details of) many of you that are new to my (blog) life know me mainly for my love of craft & design - but a lot of you don't know that a HUGE part of my creative outlet for all of my life has been dance. It has been my source of passion, happiness and my outlet. That was until a terribly unfortunate cercumstance inevitably led me to surgery, 10 weeks of couch-rest (torture), and 2 years of trying to gain my strength/flexibility/stability back.
This weekend marks the first rehearsal for a show I will (hopefully) be performing in in October if all goes well. Finger crossed, because I can't imagine a better way to end the birth year and ring in the big 2-8. But...one step at a time. Literally.
Here goes nothing!
